Dear mommy,
Congratulations on your little miracle! Your baby is finally here, and with it begins an exciting journey full of love, laughter and, of course, challenges. As a new mom, you are now facing the important phase of postnatal recovery, in which your body regenerates and strengthens after giving birth. During this time, postnatal yoga can be a valuable support.
Here are six reasons why postnatal yoga is so valuable for you:
1. Strengthening and relaxing the pelvic floor and core muscles: Your body has done a lot during pregnancy and childbirth and now needs special attention. Yoga offers a variety of ways to strengthen and relax the pelvic floor and core muscles.
2. Feeling good in your own body: Yoga is a mindful form of movement that helps you to feel good in your body again. Pregnancy and childbirth leave their mark, and yoga helps you to reconnect with your body.
3. Acceptance and mindfulness: A regular yoga practice promotes self-acceptance and mindfulness, both towards yourself and others. Especially in the phase of being a new mom, it is important to accept yourself and be mindful of yourself.
4. Renewed energy and relaxation: Yoga can provide tense moms with new energy and at the same time help to reduce stress and relax.
5. Self-care: As a mom, it's important to think about yourself and take good care of yourself. Postnatal yoga can be a valuable time-out where you can take care of yourself and recharge your batteries.
6. Flexibility in everyday life: Yoga can be easily integrated into the everyday life of moms, even if time is short. There are many ways to incorporate yoga exercises in between classes to boost physical and mental strength.
In addition to many pure baby courses, I also offer courses at Zuerichbabies in which approaches from postnatal yoga are integrated into the baby yoga course. These courses take place at my place in Zurich Enge (8002) and offer you a wonderful opportunity for you and your baby to practice together in a relaxed atmosphere and feel good.
All in all, postnatal yoga is more than just exercise or postnatal training. It is a holistic approach that combines movement, breathing, meditation and philosophy and helps moms to find physical and mental strength. Enjoy this special time with your baby and treat yourself to some time out for yourself and your postnatal recovery.
All the best,
Your Vanessa Löwe
